Strengths

Fewest clicks for common cases (95% of accounts are probably one of the four year-round patterns).
Pre-built seasonal cards mean a non-technical manager doesn't have to think in gap-days.
"Apply to" is integrated into the same flow — bulk application is one form.

Tradeoffs

Opinionated. Teams whose cadence doesn't match a card fall through to Custom and lose the curated experience.
The card library is content we have to curate — every new vertical might want its own.
Less suitable for building a template per se; this surface blurs "build template" and "apply schedule" into one action.
