Drag a cadence onto the months. Visual, marina-friendly. Best when the pattern follows the calendar.

Breach preview
Sample account "Bayside Marina Co." with last qualifying visit on 2026-04-12:
2026-04-15 — Today active segment: April Monthly (gap ≤ 37d) · 3 days since visit · OK
2026-05-01 — Active segment switches to Weekly (gap ≤ 10d) · 19 days since visit · BREACH
→ System would have surfaced as overdue from 2026-04-22 (visit + 10d)
Strengths
Visual feedback is immediate — the seasonal pattern is the dominant element on screen.
Coverage gaps (Oct-Dec here) are obvious at a glance.
Best for the marina/landscaper case that motivated the feature.
Tradeoffs
Month-granularity, not day. To express "starts April 12" the user must drop into the segment editor.
Drag-drop interactions are heavier to ship than form inputs.
For a year-round Weekly template (one segment spanning all 12), the calendar is overkill.
